Gentle Chewing, Right From the Start:
Pets Elite Puppy Bites are small, bite-sized pieces of real beef lung, gently dehydrated for a soft texture that's kind on developing teeth and sensitive mouths. Same honest single ingredient as our other beef lung chews, just sized down for the smallest chewers. It's the Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle in bite form, built on BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) principles: real ingredients, minimal processing, honest preparation.
Why Soft Matters:
Rated 2/5 Soft on our Chewyness Scale, this texture is gentle enough for puppies still developing their teeth, small and toy breeds, senior dogs, and any dog that finds harder chews uncomfortable - while still offering genuine chewing enrichment and satisfaction.
Our Chewyness Scale: 1 = Very Soft | 2 = Soft | 3 = Medium Hard | 4 = Hard | 5 = Very Hard
Real Nutrition in Every Bite:
Beef lung naturally contributes protein without unnecessary fillers, giving even the smallest, gentlest chewer a genuinely nutritious treat, not just a soft snack.
A Note on Aroma:
This is a real, honestly prepared product with a strong natural smell - completely normal, and exactly what makes it so appealing to your dog.
Make It Even Better:
Here's a trick every Pets Elite regular knows - smear a touch of Pets Elite Peanut Butter for Dogs on a piece, or dip one lightly into Mutelo. A soft, flavour-packed pairing that's especially good for puppies and gentle chewers being introduced to new treats. Worth having a jar of either in the cupboard.
Key Benefits:
- Bite-Sized for Small Mouths: Perfectly portioned pieces, smaller than our standard Puppy Chews
- Gentle, Soft Texture: Rated 2/5 Soft, kind on developing or sensitive teeth
- Single-Ingredient Focus, Naturally Preserved: Real beef lung with vinegar, used the Pets Elite way for natural shelf stability
- Great for Every Life Stage: Puppies, seniors, and small breeds all benefit
- Honestly Prepared: No grains, sugars, salts, colourants or artificial additives
- Resealable Tub: Keeps every batch fresh between treating sessions
Ingredients:
Beef Lung, Vinegar (used in preparation for natural shelf stability).
Freshness Note:
This is a real meat product with no artificial preservatives, so once opened, always reseal the packet tightly between feeds. Extended exposure to air will dry the product out and affect freshness, and keeping it sealed also stops insects from getting to it - resealing after every use is the simplest way to keep it fresh and safe.
A Note on Natural Variation:
Piece size, colour and texture will vary slightly piece to piece - the honest reality of a real, naturally prepared product. Quality never varies, character does.
Suitable For:
Puppies with developing teeth | Small and toy breeds | Senior dogs with worn or sensitive teeth | Dogs recovering from dental work | Any dog that finds harder chews uncomfortable | Raw feeders and BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet enthusiasts
Not Recommended For: N/A - this is one of our gentlest chews, though always supervise chewing regardless of texture
Feeding Tip:
Always supervise chewing and keep fresh water available. Remove any piece small enough to swallow whole. Wash hands after handling. Treats should stay under 10% of daily calorie intake.
Also Available: Looking for a bigger piece? Our Puppy Chews (250g Tub or 160g Bulk Pack) offer the same gentle beef lung chew in a larger, ~100×30mm format for slightly longer chewing sessions.
What's in the Box:
1 × Pets Elite Puppy Bites Tub, 300g. Sold by weight, natural piece count and size variation applies.
About Pets Elite:
Founded in Cape Town in 2005, Pets Elite is one of the pioneers of natural dog treats and raw nutrition in South Africa. Our entire range is built around the Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle philosophy and the principles of the BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) diet: real animal protein, whole-animal nutrition, minimal processing and honest, natural preservation.
We avoid grains, sugars, salts, colourants and artificial additives - none of which offer any real benefit to dogs - producing treats designed to support long-term health, vitality and natural feeding instincts. We focus on human-grade meats, natural fats, traditional methods and gentle preservation - delivering food closer to what dogs' wild ancestors evolved to consume.
The result: treats made to support everyday vitality, help maintain a glossy coat and settled digestion, and encourage the natural energy that comes from eating real food.
Every treat we make reflects our promise: quality, integrity and pure pet joy.
Pets Elite Ancestral Lifestyle - real food for real dogs.
