Warning:
For external and aromatic use only. Do not swallow or apply undiluted to the skin. Bergamot Essential Oil is highly concentrated and may cause irritation, sensitivity or an allergic reaction. Always dilute properly in a suitable carrier oil or finished product and perform a patch test before topical use.
Cold-pressed or expressed Bergamot Essential Oil is phototoxic. Unless the oil is specifically identified as FCF or bergapten-free, treated skin should be protected from direct sunlight, tanning beds and other strong ultraviolet exposure. IFRA restricts expressed Bergamot Oil to 0.4% in many finished products where skin may be exposed to ultraviolet light.
Avoid contact with the eyes, inner ears, mouth and other sensitive areas. Do not apply to broken, severely irritated or sensitive skin, and do not add undiluted essential oil directly to bath water.
Use only a small amount when diffusing and ensure the room is well ventilated. Discontinue use if irritation, coughing, headache, dizziness, breathing discomfort or an allergic reaction occurs.
Keep tightly closed, protected from heat, air and direct sunlight, and out of reach of children and pets. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before use during pregnancy, while breastfeeding, on young children, or where a medical condition, medication use or fragrance sensitivity is present.
