Nattokinase is a potent blood-clot dissolving protein for the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
It is an enzyme extracted and purified from a Japanese food called natt?. Natt? has been served as a traditional food in Asia for hundreds of years and has recently received increased interest in Western medicine.
Natt? is produced by fermenting soybeans by the action of the bacterium; bacillus subtilis var natto. While other soy foods contain enzymes, it is only the natt? preparation that contains the specific nattokinase enzyme.
An oral administration of nattokinase can be absorbed by the intestinal tract because, unlike most proteins, it is resistant to the highly acidic gastric fluids in the stomach and can be absorbed in the small intestine. It is also resistant to high temperature (50 C) and pH (to 10). It exhibits little to no side effects.
As an antithrombotic, it can be used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. It functions by hydrolysing fibrin and plasmin substrate. It has been found to be a safe, powerful, low cost, and an all-natural supplement for the treatment of heart and cardiovascular disease.
Before taking this product, consider if you have a bleeding disorder, about to have surgery, already are on blood thinning tablets. In these cases, consult your health care professional before taking it.
