The Taurus LY200HS auto-darkening helmet protects eyes, face, neck and ears from welding-spatter residue and grinding parti-cles. Of particular value is eye and face protection against ultra-violet (UV) and infrared (IR) radiation. The auto-darkening sys-tem is the result of the electronically adjustable shade on a DIN scale from 9 to 13. The scale adjuster can be switched off allow-ing protection from debris during a grinding operation. The dark-ening system is operated by a solar rechargeable Lithium bat-tery. The switching time between arc and darkening is 1/15000s. The fabrication material for the shell has a soft, semi-flexible and flame-retardant texture with high strength and durability. The Taurus helmet's design is based on an international ergonomic style with ample air space for cooler wear and comfortable fit.
