Excerpt from Thirty-Sixth Annual Insurance Report of the Insurance Superintendent of the State of Illinois, 1904, Vol. 2: Life, Casualty and Assessment Insurance and Fraternal Societies The business of this company during these years has been wholly transacted in and from this State just as the business of the new com ny will be in the future and has been under the supervision of t is department, to the extent consistent with the provisions of its special charter. By this change it becomes the business of a com pany chartered by this State and completely subject to the provisions and requirements of the laws of this State, under the supervision of this department. As these proceedings were had since the first of the present year the business appears in this report under the name of the company chartered by act of Congress.

Of the number of companies from other states, four have been admitted to transact business in this State, and two have discon tinned business during the year.
