Product Overview
The USB-RS232-WE-1800-BT-0.0 from FTDI is an USB to UART cable with RS232 level UART signals. It incorporates FTDI’s FT232RQ USB to serial UART interface IC which handles all USB signalling and protocols. The cable provides fast, simple way to connect devices with RS232 level serial UART interface to USB. It contains a small internal electronic circuit board utilising the FT232R which is encapsulated into USB connector at one end of cable. The other end of cable is bare, tinned wire ended connections. The integrated electronics also include RS232 level shifter, Tx and Rx LEDs which give a visual indication of traffic on cable. The USB side of cable is USB powered and USB 2.0 full speed compatible.
