Vitamin K2 is essential for correct calcium metabolism: it keeps calcium where it belongs – in the bones and out of the blood vessels. Calcium in the blood builds up as hard deposits (plaques) on the inside lining of the blood vessels, leading to hardened and narrowed arteries which can result in stroke or heart attack.
