Technical informations
What safety precautions should you take?
We recommend all of them: helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and wrist guards. Because you never know which bit of your body you’re going to land on
1 size skate = 4 shoe sizes. How does this scalable system work?
The 3 stage adjustment:
1. Open lever.
2. Pull on the front of the boot.
3. Close the lever. Using this system, your child will be able to use these inline skates for more than one season. To keep your child comfy, choose skates that are suitable for their feet: avoid skates that are too heavy (not suited to their strength) or too big (their feet will slip inside the boot leading to poor posture & difficulty in controlling their movements).
How comfy are the fit 3 kids’ inline skates?
Semi-soft boots with foam padding for more comfort. The boots are made from airy mesh (fabric that absorbs moisture well) to keep feet drier for longer.
These inline skates are very easy to put on thanks to their simple, effective fastenings: a micrometric buckle on the top of the boot for more precision + a rip-tab strap on the instep to ensure the heel fits tightly into the shoe.
Elasticated laces on sizes 11-13 and 13 -2 , and standard laces on sizes 2 -5 .
How do the fit 3 junior skates let your child skate and brake easily?
The lighter composite plate makes it easy to learn. It provides a comfy glide. The 70 mm 80a wheels and abec 3 bearings offer a good compromise between glide and handling. Our skates are kitted out with a classic rubber brake that you can fit on either the right or the left foot. Spare stoppers are available in stores.
Rubber wheels and brakes: what’s their benefit over plastic?
Unlike plastic, which skids but doesn’t brake, rubber provides good traction. This stops your child from slipping when they push off, as well as helping them brake effectively. What’s more, rubber also wears out less quickly than plastic
Our oxelo teams work hard to keep your child safe, however experienced they are. So we’ve chosen to equip all of our kids’ skates with wheels and brakes made out of rubber, not pvc.
How do you make your wheels last?
The wheels will wear out more quickly on some parts of your skates. So switch their positions around regularly.
It’s time to change them when they’ve worn down to the first of the seven visible rings inside the wheel.
What wheels are on the fit 3 skates?
The fit3 skates are equipped with 70 mm wheels.
Roller skates in sizes 13 -2 and 2 -5 can be equipped with 76 mm wheels, even light-up ones, which are available online or in store.
