Proudly made in South Africa, these flexible gaiters weigh just 240 grams each, making them easy to wear on long treks. The outer shell is crafted from 400 g/m Riptech material, which is water-resistant and tough enough to handle Africa’s harshest climates. Inside, you’ll find two layers of DuPont Kevlar microfilament yarn-a finely woven material that offers exceptional protection against sharp objects. These layers are securely stitched into an inner casing made of high-tenacity nylon, similar to parachute material, for added durability.

Designed to fit everyone, these gaiters come with an adjustable YKK zip at the back and a loop for your shoelaces underneath. They’ve been rigorously tested against bites from some of Africa’s most dangerous snakes, including the Puff Adder, Cape Cobra, Snouted Cobra, and Black Mamba, with no penetration during testing.
