The solomark varifocal eyepiece has a range of 8mm to 24mm in focal length and offers a wide range of magnifications, enabling you zoom in without changing the eyepiece. The exceptionally long eye relief (15-18mm) allows eyeglass wearers to enjoy the entire view while still wearing their corrective lenses without vignetting.
The eyepiece body is made of black-anodized aluminum and the lenses comprise high quality optical glass with full-surface multilayer coatings, ensuring excellent image sharpness.
The eyepiece is threaded at the top for a T-adapter (standard M42x0.75 male thread) and at the bottom for 1.25″ filters (standard M28.5×0.6 female thread), enabling owners of any T-thread mountable camera to photograph the planets, the moon and high powered terrestrial targets at broad range of focal lengths!
The eyepiece comes in a sturdy plastic case to protect the eyepiece from dust and moisture.
It suitable for viewing objects, scenery and astronomical observation including the surface of the moon, planets, nebulae, star clusters, diffuse nebula. When zoomed out it provides a comfortable high brightness wide field of view.
When used with the Sarblue Mak 60 700mm telescope, sold by GIT, it gives a magnification of 29x (@24mm) to 87x (@8mm). This is well within the Mak 60 capability which has a theoretical maximum magnification of 120x. The standard supplied 20mm lens has a magnification of 35x.
