Theo Wanne’s Most Versatile Tenor Mouthpiece
If you’re ready to turbocharge your sound, we recommend checking out the Theo Wanne Brahma Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece. The Brahma builds upon classic vintage small-chamber, flat-sidewall designs that are perennially coveted for their compact, focused sound. Incorporating proprietary Theo Wanne design enhancements made possible by advanced technologies, the Brahma is a small-chamber mouthpiece that combines the focus of a small chamber with the fullness of a large chamber to deliver a huge, super-full-bodied sound with powerful punch and vibrant sparkle. These qualities make the Brahma the most versatile mouthpiece in the Theo Wanne lineup – from jazz and ballads to driving rock, the Brahma does it all.
Straight Elliptical Sidewalls
Vintage mouthpieces with small chambers and flat sidewalls are cherished for their focus and projection. However, these mouthpieces typically produce a narrow sonic beam and lack the fullness of larger-chambered designs. The Brahma’s Straight Elliptical Sidewalls design, in which the flat sidewalls are extended back into the chamber in an elliptical pattern, delivers the best of both worlds. What’s more, a complex, precision-machined rollover baffle helps produce a thick, dark core sound with shimmering overtones to give you the edge and projection you need to cut through the band.
Bullet Drop-off/Shark Gill Baffle and Small Stadium Chamber
A new take on the so-called “bullet chamber” of vintage designs, Theo’s Bullet Drop-off rollover baffle employs a unique elongated-oval shape at the rear of the baffle as it transitions into the chamber, providing further sonic enhancement. Then there’s the patented Shark Gill arced-line pattern, which pulls the airstream closer to the baffle floor as you blow, filling the mouthpiece more fully for enhanced dynamics and fuller tone. Lastly, we have Theo’s Small Stadium Chamber, which gets its name from its shape that’s reminiscent of a sports stadium. The small size yields strong projection, while the unique contour fills out the sound, adding width and breadth.
