Pantothenic acid, a B-vitamin, is essential for normal physiological functions. It is a precursor of Coenzyme A (CoA) and acyl, a carrier protein of fatty acid synthase, which are involved in more than 100 different metabolic pathways including energy metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids, and the synthesis of lipids, neurotransmitters, steroid hormones, porphyrins, and haemoglobin. Pantetheine, which is derived from Ca Pantothenate, allows the adrenal glands to generate more cortisone which is an anti-stress hormone. With more cortisone produced, the body’s inflammatory response is reduced. This results in better control of auto immune diseases. Pantothenic acid can assist in reducing acne. It promotes sebum breakdown and by reducing the production and secretion of oil in the skin’s oil glands which can clog causing acne. Pantothenic acid (B5) also improves epidermal barrier function, which in turn helps to reduce acne breakouts. Suggested uses:

– Weight management. Dosage:
1 capsule 3 times a day to begin with and then reduce when symptoms of adrenal exhaustion subside. Do not exceed recommended dosages unless on the advice of a health care provider.
