Even though this is called Kindle “”Kids edition”” it is essentially a full featured Kindle Paperwhite Gen 11 with an included cover. The difference is in the software, not the hardware. The Kids features in the software do not have to be activated, and especially if you choose the black case, this is perfectly suitable for an adult too.
