The male version of Honour symbolizes the son of Madame Butterfly – Honour is dedicated to the tragic story of Madame Butterfly, the Geisha Cio-Cio-San who married an American and waited for his return for three years. More specifically, the inspiration for the creation was drawn from the last act of the eponymous opera in which Madame commits suicide,
