Salicylic Acid is a Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) used in skincare products to treat existing acne, breakouts or other skin concerns. Once it penetrates the skin, salicylic acid dissolves skin debris that clogs pores, and acts as an anti-inflammatory and helps red inflamed pimples and pustules go away faster. This breaking down of skin cells also promotes exfoliation. This 100% Salicylic acid powder can be used in customised DIY washes, toners and creams to address your various skin concerns.

How to use:
Recommended dosage 0.5% – 2%. Salicylic acid powder does not dissolve in water, it dissolves in hot carrier oils, glycerine or propanediol. Optimal pH of DIY products is between 3-4.

DIY skincare made with Salicylic powder can be applied twice daily or once daily for sensitive skin.

Salicylic Acid can be mixed with other cosmetic ingredients like Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Kojic Acid, Arbutin, Niacinamide and Glutathione.
