Automatic Inverter Transfer Switch (Automatic changeover) – 230V/3500W with power indicator
Ideal for small off-grid inverter installations
This automatic transfer switch (ATS) can easily be used between your electrical appliances & the 230V output of the inverter / municipal. When the grid is ON the power is fed through the ATS to the appliances. Then when the grid fails (OFF) due to load shedding or maintenance, the power from the inverter is fed through to the appliances. This results in a constant power flow during the period of switchover. When the grid comes back ON, the unit will switch over automatically from INVERTER to GRID again. It all happens automatically.
No need to plug extension leads over manually from one source (GRID or INVERTER) to another. So in essence it simulates a UPS functionality in terms of the constant power flow.
The output from the grid & inverter are isolated from each other, which restricts any power to flow from one source (GRID) to the other (INVERTER), thus protecting the inverter from damage or the grid from tripping.
There is an additional plug point for a battery charger-
Just plug your battery charger in this plug and as soon as utility power returns the batteries will be charging again, must have an intelligent charger that can float charge the batteries.
Features:
Safe & durable design
Power output ON indicator on LOAD Also “Click” sound indicating changeover.

Inverter / grid circuit isolation
Specifications:
230V / 16A standard plug tops
230V / 16A plug adapter
Internal switch over module (30ms)
Dual output plug adapter
Four 50cm electrical cables
Nominal power is 3500W
New high power switching module
Instructions:
Insert the plug labelled GRID into the wall socket of the house or office & switch it ON.
Insert the plug labelled INVERTER into the 230V output of the inverter & switch it ON.
Insert your appliance (Computers, Routers, TV, etc.) into the socket labelled OUTPUT.
The unit will now switch over automatically between Grid & Backup power.
Please note:
Do not exceed its maximum power rating of 3500W.
Make sure to plug the unit in as per the connection drawing.
Plugging it in the wrong way will cause the unit not to switch over automatically.
Do not open the device as this will void the warranty & may be a source of electrical shock.
Power LED stays on continuously as it indicates incoming power from either source GRID or INVERTER.
This is not an inverter but can be used in conjunction with one.
This unit is compatible with pure/true & modified sinewave inverters.
It is advisable to plug the ATS into a surge protection adapter / multi-plug to prevent spikes form the grid.
