The carbon monoxide and smoke detector uses electrochemical sensors to detect any smoke or carbon monoxide above the prescribed thresholds in the air. The alarm should be installed near the ceiling as carbon monoxide will rise towards the ceiling as it is lighter than air.
Instructions:
- Install 3 x AA batteries and power on. The buzzer will beep and a 2 minute countdown will begin.
- Press the “Test/Reset” button, the LCD screen will display “0” ppm and the buzzer beeps 4 times at 5 second intervals.
- Press and hold the “Test/Reset” key for more than 10 seconds to view the alarm concentration, and press the “Test/Reset” key again to clear it.
- Under normal working conditions, the green light flashes once every 30 seconds.
- When the battery is low, the red light flashes once every 10 seconds and the LCD screen displays “Lb”.
- When the detector detects carbon monoxide gas exceeding 100ppm, it will alarm, the red light will flash, and the buzzer will beep four times, once every 5 seconds. At this time, you should immediately open the doors and windows to circulate the indoor air, and notify relevant professionals to handle it. In the event of a fire, when the smoke concentration exceeds 0.1%db/m, it will alarm, the blue light will flash, and the buzzer will alarm continuously.
- Alarm pause (silent mode) – When you encounter a non-emergency situation, you can immediately press the test button, and the LED light will flash in a cycle, indicating that the alarm has entered the silent mode. The LED light flashes once every 10 seconds, indicating that the alarm has entered the silent mode (in silent mode, press the button once, the buzzer sounds the alarm, and the red light flashes in a cycle to indicate that the mute is released). The alarm will automatically reset after 10 minutes.
