Simply place it in the soil near your plant, and it will emit a gentle chirp when the soil becomes dry, reminding you to water your plant. Unlike traditional sensors, Chirp utilizes capacitive humidity sensing, which means it doesn’t make direct contact with the soil. This feature prevents electrode corrosion and soil electrolysis, ensuring better accuracy and a longer battery life.

One of the unique features of Chirp is its customizable alarm level. You can set the alarm level individually for each plant, tailoring it to their specific moisture needs. As your plant consumes water, Chirp will detect the decreasing moisture level and emit occasional short chirps. If more water evaporates, Chirp will increase the frequency of the alarm chirps, alerting you to water your plant.

Additionally, Chirp is smart enough to detect whether it’s day or night by measuring ambient light. This means it will only make noise during the day, preserving a quiet environment in the evening.
