Eternity embodied through fragrance
Cedar Malaki is a vibrant homage to one of the greatest wonders of nature and a true king of the forest: the cedar.
This unique, majestic fragrance is inspired by the cedar’s grandeur, unveiling solar-yet-dark facets that leave behind an infinitely noble, enthralling trail.
Cedarwood contrasts with sparkling notes of grapefruit and spices while patchouli and tonka bean enhance its opulent, sophisticated depth.
A sacred wood
Endowed with a deeply sacred dimension, the majestic, ancestral cedar tree has been a subject of art and literature for millennia. It is a symbol of eternity and immortality, as well as one of the most emblematic and revered ingredients in oriental perfumery. Its name harks back to the divine creations and royal might of the most ancient dynasties of the Middle East.
Cedar cast in shadow and light
For Cedar Malaki, master perfumer Alberto Morillas has taken inspiration from two varieties of the tree that grow on opposite ends of the Mediterranean Basin. In it, the Atlas cedar, which draws its strength and majesty from cool, dark, mountainous terroirs, meets the Lebanese cedar whose branches are drenched in Mediterranean sunshine and sea air.
Their union gives rise to a contrasting fragrance like the majestic cedar itself, which puts down deep roots in order to stretch infinitely up toward the Sun.
A sublime bottle midway between East and West
The bottles of the Malaki collection symbolize an encounter between sumptuous Eastern flair and the jewelry heritage of Maison Chopard.
For Cedar Malaki, the iconic bottle with its slender silhouette takes on a dark green color evoking mighty forests of Atlas cedar, set alongside a bright golden hue.
Just like the fragrance within, the bottle is a precious object steeped in contrasts and light.
