Efekto Aphicide Insecticide 100ml

A systemic emulsifiable concentrate insecticide for use in the home and garden. A contact and stomach poison for the control of insects as listed.

Where can it be used:
on flowering plants, ornamental shrubs, trees, vegetable, fruit and field crops.

How to get the best results:

efekto aphicide is a systemic insecticide with the added advantage of contact action to give a rapid kill of insect pests hit by the spray at time of application. Efekto aphicide controls aphids and a number of other insect pests on a wide range of horticultural and agricultural crops. Efekto aphicide rapidly penetrates plant tissue and translocates in the sap-stream to render the plant toxic to sucking and rasping insects before being bio-degraded within the plant.

Spray at first signs of insect presence. Timing of subsequent sprayings will depend on climatic conditions and incidents of re-infestation, but should rarely be required at closer than 14 day intervals. If spraying is necessary in hot, dry conditions, spray in early morning or in evening when plants are not water stressed.

Active ingredient:
– dimethoate (organophosphate) 400 g/l

tips:
– spray plants and trees when growing vigorously (in full sap flow), not when they are or have recently been wilted, drought stricken, diseased or showing signs of any physiological abnormalities.
– on plants or pests which are difficult to wet, e.g. Cabbage and against woolly aphids add a wetting agent like efekto g49 to the spray.

Warnings:
the following number of days must be allowed between last application and harvest of the crop as follows:
– peaches and plums 28
– vegetables, apples, pears and other crops mentioned 14
– do not apply to apricots, rough lemons, seville oranges, chrysanthemum, zinnia, begonia, ficus, jacobinea and pride of india.

Handle with care.
Poisonous by swallowing, inhalation and when absorbed through the skin.
Toxic to fish, bees and wildlife.
Store away from food and feed and out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.
Flammable – keep away from fire.
In case of poisoning call a doctor and make this label available to him.

Precautions:
– avoid inhalation and skin contact.
– accidental splashes must be washed off immediately.
– wear protective clothing and wash them when contaminated.
– wash with soap and water after use.
– do not eat, drink or smoke whilst handling and applying the insecticide or before washing hands and face.
– prevent contamination of food, feed, eating utensils and drinking water.
– destroy empty container and do not use for any other purpose.
– do not spray into open blossoms.
– prevent spray drift onto crops not under treatment.
– rinse container three times with a volume of water equal to a minimum of 10% ofthat of the container. Add rinsings to the contents of the spray tank before destroying the container.
– destroy empty container and never re-use for any other purpose.
