This is a Chinese manufactured Reverse Osmosis Membrane, they are made under license from the USA.
We find with most good quality municipal water supplies they work well enough.
If you have a high mineral content or bacteria in your water we would rather recommend the Silver USA 100 GPD RO Membrane.

The big advantage with this membrane is that it has half the waste water of a 100 GPD membrane and doubles the product water yield, it is not suited for waters with a TDS or PPM reading of over 200.

The life span depends on the water quality and on how well the pre-filters were maintained, but the typical life span is 24-36 months.
