Steps to safely perform a sinus flush:-
Make a saline solution as follows:
– Add 1 cup (250ml) distilled water to a clean container. If you use tap water, boil it first to strelilize it. Let it cool until it’s lukewarm.
– Add 0.5 tsp (2.5g) non – iodized salt to the water.
– Add 0.5 tsp (2.5g) baking soda.
Dissolve in a jug and pour into your water reservoir.
Select the lowest setting and run the water till it comes out the sinus rinse attachment so you can feel by hand if the temperature is lukewarm.
Lean over a washbasin and tilt the head to one side. To prevent the liquid from going into the mouth, try to ensure that the chin and forehead are level.
Breathing through the mouth, insert the sinus rinse adapter into the upper nostril. Start on the lowest setting. The saline solution should drain through the lower nostril.
Clear the nostril and repeat the process on the other side.
It is important to clean your device thoroughly to disinfect it before use.
