Hazelnut oil is a solvent collected by a tool called a press from a hazelnut. It is widely used for preparing and dressing salads. It is also used for hair care and as a carrier oil for aromatherapy or massage oils.
Hazelnut oil may also be used as a skin care drug. It s loaded with skin-nourishing vitamins and essential fatty acids that help protect skin against sun damage, boost collagen production, and more.

Hazelnut oil is healthy for people with delicate skin in most situations. Although it is an astringent (more on that below), it is different from the alcohol-based astringents that you often see in your skin care aisle.

Alcohol-based astringents can be rough and dry or irritate the skin. Hazelnut oil is a natural, alcohol-free astringent that does not normally cause irritation.
The high content of vitamin E and fatty acids in hazelnut oil will help to increase the outermost layer of the skin. Vitamin E also helps improve skin elasticity by keeping the skin hydrated, making it firm and supple.
