Magnesium chelate is simply magnesium chemically bonded with amino acids to enhance absorption of this essential nutrient. Chelated magnesium can help maintain or restore sufficient magnesium levels in the body. Magnesium is needed for normal nerve and muscle function, and regulates the absorption of calcium. Magnesium is also an important nutrient for the cardiovascular system.
