Hydroponic step-down tiered growing system 8 hole

8 holes, it is perfect to start the journey and try your hand at hydroponic farming. The Bell and Paton 8-hole hydroponic system is ideal for small spaces, such as apartments or balconies. Since it uses no soil, there is no mess to clean up. This cute little set, when erected, stands 51cm high and is 52 cm wide. It is easy to set up and use.  You can start growing vegetables immediately. It comes complete with a timer, growing pots, sponges, water pump, water sump and water level indicator. With this system, you can enjoy fresh, healthy vegetables all year round.

TDS & EC (hold) hydroponic water meter

This meter is an essential tool for any hydroponic grower. It allows the accurate measurement and removes the guesswork when it comes to hydroponic growth.

This meter measures the concentration of salts (TDS) by means of

Electrical conductivity (EC) and
Parts per million (PPM)

Readings are temperature compensated. Both readings simultaneously display the temperature of the water accurately in Celsius or Fahrenheit. Although the unit is pre-calibrated in the factory, manual calibration can be made if necessary.

The unit will provide 1000 hours of service before replacement is needed.

A simple dip test, in the growing liquid solution, will determine the existing levels of fertiliser in the system. Based on the reading, water can be added (If the concentration is too high) or more fertilizer can be added (if the reading is too low).

Concentration levels of salts or ppm will be crop specific.

Nutrifeed fertilizer
Nutrifeed is a specially formulated, concentrated and balanced fertiliser, which, when used regularly, will promote healthy root, plant and flower development for a wide range of vegetables and ornamentals grown in hydroponics/soilless culture, as well as soil or other media.

Nutrifeed contains all the essential macro- and micro-elements for healthy plant growth and is adapted to widely varying soil conditions.

Method of application:
Nutrifeed may be applied as a foliar feed, to the soil as a drench, or as a dry feed.

Hydroponics:
Dissolve in water at a rate of 1:500 (1kg/500l or approximately 10g per 5 litres
Stir well
Preferably leave overnight. Ignore slight sediment
Use half-strength for recently germinated seedlings.
