This traditional Japanese 4 piece sword set includes the 98cm long sword Katana, 76cm Wakizashi, 50cm Tanto and a wooden display stand.

Katana: A katana is a Japanese sword characterized by a curved, single-edged blade with a circular or squared guard and long grip to accommodate two hands. Developed later than the tachi, it was used by samurai in feudal Japan and worn with the edge facing upward.

xWakizashi: Wakizashi is a traditional Japanese sword that is single edged, short and has slight curvature. Wakizashi was made famous by Samurai during the Japanese Medieval Times when Samurai carried a Wakizashi or Tanto as a side-arm in addition of his longer Katana.

xTanto: Double or single edged, straight bladed. A tanto (“”short sword””) is one of the traditionally made Japanese swords (nihonto) that were worn by the samurai class of feudal Japan. The tanto dates to the Heian period, when it was mainly used as a weapon but evolved in design over the years to become more ornate.

Each sword is hand forged in the traditional Japanese technique. They all have cast tsuba handguards in the shape of two Japanese dragons, and the tsuka handles are finished in a traditional Japanese ito wrap. Each blade fits tightly into it’s own matching sageo cord wrapped saya scabbard, and the set is accompanied with a beautiful black lacquered display stand.
