Proud flesh Powder is a topical caustic agent.

Composition:

The powder contains 14,25% finely-divided copper sulphate in a base of activated carbon.

Indications:

It is used for the reduction of proud flesh in horses. The powder is sprayed onto the area to be treated and covered with an occlusive dressing. Scabs when they form should be removed and the powder re-applied until the proud flesh is reduced.
