Flashback arrestors normally have two major parts: a check valve and a flame arrestor, and they are utilized in oxy-fuel welding and cutting operations. Gas is only allowed to flow in one directionâ¬âaway from the flame and toward the workpieceâ¬âthanks to the check valve. Any flame that tries to return to the gas supply system is put out by the flame arrestor, which is a fine mesh screen.
