This deworming paste is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic (dewormer) that is effective against a wide range of parasites, including roundworms (including encysted stages of small strongyles), tapeworms, and bots. It is a single-dose treatment that is easy to administer and is safe for horses of all ages, including pregnant mares and foals.

Pegaquest is given orally as a paste. The recommended dosage is 0.2 mg/kg body weight (0.09 mg/lb).

To administer Pegaquest, remove the cap from the syringe and insert the tip into the horse’s mouth at the space between the teeth. Depress the plunger as far as it will go, depositing the paste on the back of the tongue. Immediately raise the horse’s head for a few seconds after dosing.

Pegaquest should be administered every 8-12 weeks, or more often if necessary based on the results of fecal parasite testing.

Pegaquest is a safe and effective dewormer for horses. It is important to follow the dosage instructions carefully and to deworm your horse on a regular basis to help prevent parasite infestations.
