PFERD Mounted Point Set TOUGH – 10pc x 6mm shank

PFERD offers a range of mounted point points designed to meet individual grinding application needs. The broad range consists of various shapes, sizes, hardness, grits and grain types. PFERD mounted points are manufactured to ensure high dimensional accuracy and consistency.

The set contains 10 mounted points of various shapes and sizes all consisting of a 6mm shank. The TOUGH type is manufactured using high quality white Aluminium Oxide and Ceramic Oxide grain. It is particularly well suited for use on hardened, heat treated steels as well as titanium and nickel based materials. Its applications include repair welds and reworking of turbine blades and general MRO applications within the tool and mould manufacturing industry.

Advantages:

– High stock removal rates and a very long tool life.
– Constant stock removal rates due to self-sharpening characteristics of the Ceramic Oxide grain.
– Suitable for a variety of materials but particularly well suited for high temperature resistant materials and hardened steel components.
– Suitable for Electric as well as Pneumatic Tool Drives.
– STEEL EDGE mounted points perform best at a cutting speed of 30 – 50 m/s.

Operating Instructions:
– Observe the recommended rotational speed. (Maximum 50 m/s.)
– Maximum Overhang = 10mm
– Only use grinding machines that are intended for use with the relevant tool.
– Ensure correct and suitable personal protective equipment is worn while using the tool.
