Technical Information
Insulation with Synthetic Wadding
We use wadding for this down jacket. The wadding filling offers three interesting qualities for hiking:
It has a good thermal insulation capacity even when wet.
It offers a little breathability and can be recommended in the case of dynamic activity (feather being recommended for static activity).
Compressibility: a wadding filling is very compressible.
Water Repellency
Functionality obtained by applying a hydrophobic treatment to the surface of the fabric. This process prevents water from adhering to the surface of the fabric; it “slides” without being absorbed. Thus, the garment remains light, breathable, and warm. This treatment can be renewed during the life of the product in order to maintain its full effectiveness. Favor sprays to be applied on the outside, rather than additives to the laundry, which could degrade the breathability of the product.
