Lithium ion batteries have high cycle rates (2000 to 4000 cycles, versus 200 to 400 cycles of an normal sealed lead acid battery), they can handle higher current, and the internal battery management system protects them from overcharging or discharging too low.

That simply means this lithium battery replacement should last 10 times longer than the Sealed lead acid battery it is replacing.

Other advantages are that there are no fumes, the self-discharge rate is only 3% per month (Sealed lead acid will drain itself dead in 12 months), the batteries weight 800g vs the 2kg average weight of a 12v 9Ah Sealed lead acid battery, and they can be charged and discharged faster (at higher current).

This battery can directly replace a sealed lead acid 12v 9Ah battery (same size, same charging voltages) and is an upgrade in terms of how many cycles the battery can do (how many times can be used before needs replacing). The battery has a larger capacity than a lead acid(14Ah compeared to 9Ah).
