Some of the most common uses for MSM include treating:

– Eye inflammation

Biotin Supplement Uses:
– Hair loss. Taking biotin and zinc by mouth in addition to applying a steroid cream to the skin might help reduce hair loss.
– Brittle fingernails and toenails. Taking biotin by mouth might increase the thickness of fingernails and toenails in people with brittle nails.
– Diabetes. Some early research shows that taking biotin along with chromium might lower blood sugar in people with diabetes. However, taking biotin alone doesn’t seem to improve blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.
– Diabetic nerve pain. Early research shows that taking biotin by mouth or receiving it as a shot might reduce nerve pain in the legs of people with diabetes.
– Muscle cramps. People undergoing dialysis tend to have muscle cramps. Early research shows that taking biotin by mouth might reduce muscle cramps in these people.
Collagen Supplement Uses:
– Collagen consumption can increase skin elasticity and moisture, which also declines during the aging process.
– Bone and Joint Health – Collagen may be beneficial to bones and joints in the same way it benefits the skin. By helping the body’s natural production of collagen and providing a bioavailable source of these amino acids, collagen may improve bone and joint health over time. In fact, a double-blind, placebo study showed significant improvement in joint pain.
– Hormone Balance- Emerging research shows that the specific amino acids in collagen may help improve the amino acid balance in the body and support the body’s natural hormone production.
– Digestion – collagen may help coat the digestive tract and improve digestion
Turmeric Supplement Uses:
– High cholesterol (reduces total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein (LDL or “bad”) cholesterol, and triglycerides in overweight people with high cholesterol)
– Osteoarthritis. (improving pain and function in people with osteoarthritis)
– Itching (pruritus).
– Stomach ulcers. Some research suggests that taking turmeric three times daily for 8 weeks does not improve stomach ulcers.
– Eye inflammation (anterior uveitis).
– Depression. Early research suggests that taking curcumin, a chemical found in turmeric, twice daily for 6 weeks is as effective as the antidepressant medication fluoxetine in people with depression.
– Diabetes. Early research suggests that taking turmeric extract twice daily for 9 months can reduce the number of people with prediabetes who develop diabetes.
– Joint pain. Research shows that taking a specific combination product containing turmeric and other ingredients three times daily for 8 weeks reduces the severity of joint pain. But it does not appear to help joint stiffness or improve joint function.
