Our Sally-Ann Creed Super Cee is a powdered sodium ascorbate. This is a form of Vitamin C, known as ascorbic acid, that is ‘buffered’ (joined) to a sodium bicarbonate molecule (mineral). This buffering makes it easier to digest and gentler on the gut for those with sensitive digestive tracts.
Benefits may include:
-Prevents onset of colds and viruses, and shortens the length and severity of illness
-A natural antioxidant and anti-inflammatory that can regulate the immune and nervous systems
-Assists with collagen formation and bone, cartilage, gum, skin, teeth, and blood vessels health
-Reduces fatigue, and contributes towards psychological health
-Helps in wound healing, and assists in connective tissue formation
Vitamin C is an essential, water soluble vitamin that we need daily. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals and plays an important role in immune function, by helping white blood cells function more effectively. It is essential for the formation of collagen and is involved in protein metabolism. It is a vital component of connective tissue and promotes wound healing. Vitamin C presents anti-oxidative properties and can scavenge free radicals and reduce oxidative stress – this contributes to the prevention of certain cancers and cardiovascular disease as well as helps slow down the aging process.
Sally-Ann Creed’s Super Cee is ideal for those with a more sensitive digestive system. 100% ascorbic acid can be quite harsh on the digestive tract, and Super Cee is ascorbic acid buffered to sodium forming sodium ascorbate. This chelate allows this form of vitamin C to not only be gentler on the digestive tract, but also assists by making the vitamin C more bioavailable, easily absorbed, in the body.
Some further health conditions that may benefit from vitamin C supplementation are those suffering from high blood pressure, joint pain, and high cholesterol. Vitamin C is also becoming increasingly popular in skin products, to assist with dryness, acne, or aging.
