Need to stop a leaky roof in a hurry?

This kit is designed to fix leaks / holes with a diameter of 2.5cm or less (size of a R5 coin). You can repair multiple holes with one kit, and it contains enough sealant to cover 1m .

Our ToughSealer is a water based acrylic rubberizing paint to waterproof galvanized, tile and cement roofs. It can also be used to waterproof anything from carton boxes to water features and much more. It is recommended to be used with Super Platina s ToughRoof paint.

This kit is put together to assist with waterproofing leaks. A quality 50mm Laymen brush is included to apply the sealer.

Simply use the 5 step Pap en Lap method:
1. Locate the leak.
2. Clean the area carefully and make sure it is dry.
3. Apply 1 coat ToughSealer with the brush included. Cut the membrane to size. Put it on the painted area. Cover it with one or two more coats of ToughSealer .
4. Give it approximately 1 hour to dry between coats.
5. It is always a good idea to cover the sealer afterwards with a good water-based roof paint like Super Platina s ToughRoof in order to protect the rubber against the sun.

For gaps or where you need to strengthen the waterproofing a 100mm x 10m SPUNmat membrane is included. The SPUNmat membrane gives a smooth finish to minimise dirt accumulation.

– Drying time (depending on temperature): Surface dry: 1-3 hour
– Application temperature: 10 C – 35 C
– Spread rate: 3 – 5m / liter (depending on surface)
– Preferably 2 coats required

– On all absorbent surfaces thin down the first coat with up to 20% water
– It can be directly applied to cement, galvanized roofing, concrete, wallboards/ceilings
– Ferrous surfaces: Remove rust on surface and prime with suitable primer
– Chalky surfaces must be primed with a bonding liquid
– For all oil-painted surfaces use a universal undercoat after surfaces have been cleaned
– Clean brush with water as soon as done with the painting
– Store away from direct sunlight, heat and severe cold
– Do not paint during wet or cold weather (below 10 C)
