New Health’s PURE Castor Oil is a 100% pure, conventional, cold pressed and hexane-free carrier oil.
Castor oil’s moisturising, anti-inflammatory, and anti-microbial properties have been known and used since ancient Egypt, making it an essential element for health, wellness, and beauty. This oil is extracted from the seeds of the Ricinus Communis plant, commonly known as castor beans, and is a translucent liquid with a yellow tint.
PURE Castor Oil is an ideal carrier oil for face, body, and hair, and its benefits and uses are multiple.
The benefits gained from castor oil are attributed to its chemical composition. The seed oil primarily contains ricinoleic acid, an omega-9 unsaturated fatty acid and a hydroxy acid. Ricinolein makes up about 90% of castor oil’s fatty acid content. Other minor fatty acids include stearic, palmitic, linoleic and oleic acids.
Castor oil is a natural humectant and occlusive.
Benefits for the Face
– Castor oil may be effective in reducing acne due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Ricinoleic acid, inhibits the growth of acne-causing bacteria.
– Castor oil also contains other fatty acids. They may enhance the smoothness and softness of facial skin when applied.
– Castor oil is also helpful in restoring uneven skin tones since it contains fatty acids that may promote skin tissue growth.
– Since Castor oil have a low comedogenic rating, it is unlikely to clog pores in the skin and reduces the risk of blackheads, making it suitable for sensitive skin.
– Skincare products, including facial creams and oils, can be very expensive. But Castor oil is relatively inexpensive and has many similar properties, such as promoting a healthy complexion and moisturising the skin.
Benefits for the Body
– The anti-inflammatory properties of castor oil and ricinoleic acid may make them effective for treating irritated skin.
– It may also protect the skin from bacterial infections by keeping out microbes that may cause disease.
– The triglycerides in castor oil may maintain moisture in the skin, making it a useful treatment for dry skin.
– Castor oil is a natural humectant, which means that it draws moisture from the air into the skin, keeping the skin hydrated. It prevents moisture loss through the outer skin layer.
– The triglycerides found in castor oil are also helpful in removing dirt from the skin.
Benefits for the Hair
– It is a great moisturizer for irritated, dry scalps, and it also has antibacterial and antifungal properties that may assist in managing dandruff.
– As a result, it stimulates blood flow to the scalp, which may promote stronger and healthier hair.
