The MAL205356471E3 is a power economic printed wiring snap-in Aluminium Capacitor with keyed polarity and high ripple current capability. The 053 PEC-PW series electrolytic capacitor provides high resistance to shock and vibration. In general, aluminium capacitor is the most suitable capacitor for addressing requirements such as low and high frequency filtering and energy storage, which demand high capacitance values and power ratings. The devices offer high CU/(unit cost) ratios, is small compared with other technologies and is relatively insensitive to voltage spikes. While it is easy to regard aluminium capacitors as commodity products, they are, after inductors, often the most expensive passive components in the power supply. Because of this, designers must pay careful attention to selection. Circuit simulation programs further complicate the situation, as they cannot easily handle frequency dependent component characteristics.
