Yowie – UV Light / Black Light / Scorpion Torch (395nm, 9 LED, Mini Size)

The Scorpion Torch by Yowie is a highly functional yet lightweight and portable UV light / blacklight designed to observe florescence.

It is a versatile device ideal to:

• Search for scorpions. The Scorpion Torch is great for camping. It can be used to find scorpions and watch as they glow in the dark. When it’s time for bed, the torch can be used to check that there are no unwanted scorpions lurking in bedsheets.

• Detect stains. The torch can be used to check for urine stains. Use it in a dark room to see what your dog has been up to around the house. Search for stains in a bathroom, or check a hotel room for cleanliness. Please note however that the UV light may not work well to detect cat urine stains as the light’s wavelength is not ideal for this purpose.

• Check for fake notes. UV light can be used to confirm the validity of the South African Rand following government guidelines, and it can also be used to check a variety of other currencies and identity documents

• And many more uses. “Recharge” glow in the dark toys. Detect tartar on teeth. Check for minerals in your rock collection. Hunt for uranium glass at antique shops. About UV lights:
UV lights, or black lights, emit longwave light, including ultraviolet and barely visible violet light. Because of their wavelength, these lights are ideal for observing fluorescence – the glow produced when certain substances are exposed to UV light.
