Customize, upcycle, or revitalize your favorite garments with Guarany T-Shirt Hot Water Fabric Dye. Specifically formulated for natural and cellulose-based fibers like cotton, linen, and viscose, this dye is perfect for transforming everyday t-shirts with rich, permanent color. Whether you are doing a solid color refresh, tie-dye, batik, or shibori, this dye delivers vibrant results when applied with boiling water.
A single 40g tube provides excellent coverage for up to 300g of dry fabric.
Note: This product will not dye synthetic fibers such as polyester or acrylic.
Directions for Use:
Open the 40g container using the handle of a spoon and shake well before using.
Step 1: Dissolve the contents into 1 litre of boiling water. (Tip: For dark colours, add 2 tablespoons of cooking salt).
Step 2: Pour this solution into a larger container with enough hot water to completely cover your fabric.
Step 3: Prepare the fabric by washing it first. Dip it into the dye bath while it is still wet, and stir constantly for 30 minutes in boiling water. (For tie-dye, bind your folded, damp t-shirt with rubber bands before submerging).
Step 4: Remove the fabric from the dye bath and rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear. Let it dry in the shade or use a tumble dryer.
For best results and to prevent future fading, use our colour fixative, Guarany Fixacor.
