Bapscarcare Gel – Medical Silicone Therapy

BAPSCARCARE gel is a silicone gel enriched with vitamin E for the treatment and prevention of abnormal scars (hypertrophic and keloid). BAPSCARCARE GEL can be applied to any part of the skin and is particularly suitable for treating scars on the face, neck, at joints and in skin folds. BAPSCARCARE gel makes scars flatter, more flexible and thinner and reduces complaints (such as persistent redness, scar pulling, itching, restriction of joint movement, discomfort and cosmetic concerns). BAPSCARCARE gel dries quickly, is non-greasy, non-sticky, invisible and easy to smooth on in a single stroke. BAPSCARCARE gel feels silky and soft and can be applied anywhere on the skin. The gel provides a semi-occlusive (covering) layer on the surface of the skin, resulting in increased hydration of the skin (epidermis). This increased hydration accelerates the recovery of damaged scar tissue and reduces complaints.

BAPSCARCARE gel can be applied to both old and new scars for:
the treatment and prevention of abnormal scars (hypertrophic and keloid).
the treatment of burn scars.
the treatment of surgical scars.
the treatment of persistent functional issues caused by the scar (persistent redness, scar pulling, itching, restriction of joint movement, discomfort and cosmetic complaints).

BAPSCARCARE gel is for external use only. Not to be used on open wounds. For optimal therapy BAPSCARCARE gel should be used twice a day (morning and evening). A thin layer of the gel to the scar should be applied in a single, sweeping motion. Not rubbed in. BAPSCARCARE gel should be re-applied after intensive activity (sports) and contact with water (showering, swimming). If desired, BAPSCARCARE gel can be combined with make-up as soon as the gel has dried up. For optimum results, preferably treatment with BAPSCARCARE gel should be started immediately after wound closure (i.e. after removal of sutures and disappearance of any scabs).
