Patchouli has a distinct earthy aroma and is best known as regenerating skin care oil. Therapeutically it is uplifting, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. When used topically, it soothes rough and chapped skin. It also helps with eliminating bad odours.
How to use Patchouli essential oil:
Put 3 to 5 drops of the essential oil in an ounce of carrier oil such as sweet almond oil or warmed coconut oil.
Where to use Patchouli essential oil:
Add a few drops to your favourite essential oil diffuser, or add a few drops to homemade candles, soaps, lotions, or shampoos for a wonderful smelling homemade product. You can also add drops to massage oil .
Precautions:
Essential oils require dilution for topical usage. Do not use undiluted essential oils on your skin. For facial applications such as masks or oils, a 1% or less dilution is recommended. For massages oils and other leave-on body products, a 2% dilution is recommended, and for other rinse-off bath and body products, 3% is recommended
Do not consume. Store in original container, in a cool, dark place, and out of direct light and children
