Our 7W 400 lumen LED light bulb is equipped with a SMD5730 chip and a 2200mA rechargeable battery that allows the device to switch on automatically when there is a power outage.

These bulbs keep bright for 4 hours when there is a power outage. The light bulb has a built in sensor to determine the state of the switch and will automatically stay on if there is load shedding or a power outage and the light switch is in the ‘ON’ position. It has a 2200mA battery and when it is fully charged can burn brightly for upto 4 hours. It needs a 6 hour charging time to restore it to its full brightness. When using the light bulb for the first few times it may flash or flicker. It is not faulty. The battery is building up ‘storage memory’. Please use it and recharge the battery at least 3 or 4 times for the first 2 – 3 days. The bulb works best when used alone in one fitting, with one switch to control it. Having multiple bulbs/fittings on one switch will reduce the efficacy of the bulb.

Operating instructions:
1. The bulb can be used as a normal household bulb and once it is installed it can be turned on/off using the light switch
2. The internal Li-ion battery will be charged whenever the light is set to ‘ON’.
3. During a power failure or loadshedding the bulb will operate as an emergency light and stay lit, as long as the light switch is in the ‘ON’ mode.
