Supporting our Honeybee Heroes
Truefood is proud to partner with Honeybee Heroes in the sourcing of our honey products. This non-profit organisation is committed to the conservation of our country’s unique Cape Honeybee while uplifting women in low-income communities through beekeeping training and advocating for local, sustainable production of this staple product. Each bottle of Truefood honey purchased helps to further their important work by supporting their community-run micro-apiaries in the Overberg region.
Honey is meticulously sourced from sustainable practices, ensuring it is free from artificial preservatives, palm oil and irradiation.
Moreover, each bottle purchased contributes to the creation of safe and permanent apiaries for vulnerable honeybees. We work closely with Honeybee Heroes to uplift and empower residents of low-income households of the Overberg region through beekeeping training at their safe havens.
